    • Ghana: TGCC Baseline and Endline Survey 2017

    This is the baseline and endline data from a cocoa rehabilitation and land Tenure and Global Climate Change pilot in Nyame Nnae community, Asankrangwa district of Ghana.

    The target population of this assessment is Ghanaian smallholder cocoa farmers. The activity approach focused on community-level interventions that consider social relationships, and traditional institutions to validate and enforce land and tree rights. Winrock staff carried out both baseline and endline surveys, along with focus group discussions with a subset of survey respondents. To select the sample, Winrock used stratified random sampling from participating farmers to ensure adequate coverage of landlords, tenants, and women. Because youth are typically not household decision-makers, they were not deliberately targeted for the household survey, however they were selected for focus group discussions.
