The test plan for use of the 5MW dynamometer to validate the capability of the power takeoff (PTO), electric plant and Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition system to meet the operating requirements. The dynamometer testing also demonstrates the reliability of the novel generator design for use in real seas as part of Columbia Powers wave energy converter (WEC).
