    • Legal Services Delivered to Conflict-affected and Displaced Population in Ukraine

    USAID Human Rights in Action Program, implemented by the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, concentrates efforts and resources to ensure enhanced protection of the conflict-affected and displaced civilian population from Crimea and eastern Ukraine, including through support of the network of the legal aid centers in conflict-torn localities. Namely, legal aid offices operate in Sloviansk, Toretsk, Mariupol, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Sumy and Dnipro providing legal aid to the conflict-affected population from eastern Ukraine; the Kyiv-based Specialized legal aid center targets both Crimean and Donbas residents as well as IDPs, the legal aid center in Kherson focuses on Crimean human rights issues.

    The current dataset is an extract from UHHRU’s database titled “Casebox” that relates to DR 6.3-1 indicator “Number of individuals/groups from low income or marginalized communities who received legal aid or victim’s assistance with USG support”. It provides detailed information regarding legal services delivery to people in need by the USAID-sponsored legal aid network in the period 1 October 2017 to 31 July 2018.
