I clicked on SQL Server 2022 Developer and downloaded it. After the download, I clicked on the Basic option → accepted the terms → clicked Install. Once the installation was successful, I clicked ‘Install SSMS’ and got the following link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=531355. However, there is no option to download SSMS from that page. Can anyone help me with how to download it? Is this the correct process?"

To download SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) after installing SQL Server 2022 Developer edition, you need to navigate to the following link (you already mentioned it in your post):
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/ssms/install/install
Then scroll down to Step 2, where you'll find the installer download link
Make sure to follow the installation steps provided on that page to complete the setup properly.

To connect successfully:
- Server type: Select
Database Engine - Server name: Enter
localhostor.

If you are at work, and you want to a development server or similar, you need to ask your DBA or a colleague.
If you have installed SQL Server on your own computer, you give the name of the laptop. You can also give (localhost) or a single dot. If you installed a named instance, you need to give the instance name as well, for instance: MYPC\MYINSTANCE.
