Dear Microsoft Support,

I am writing to you to let you know that I was misinformed about the use of resources on AzurePortal.

I established my account so that I can practice for the AZ-204 exam. Initially I got some free credit and I was convinced that I won't be charged for the use of resources on Azure Portal. I checked the use of my resources and the expected bill which was supposed to arrive amounted to 0$ in total. I checked that information many times over and convinced that I won't pay anything I went on holiday. After I came back from my holiday break I received a bill amounting to a sum of 200$. This was just the first installment, later on I received a bill of 350$. Overall I had to unfairly pay about 550$ for the use of Azure resources. This is very unjust as I was not directly informed that I will need to pay this amount in the first place.

Can you please let me know if I can write a query so that I can can have my money back?

If nobody from Microsoft Support gets in touch with me I will write a negative review so that the other users are informed and warned about the use resources on AzurePortal.

Many Thanks and Kind Regards,

Mateusz Woś

    Hello Mateusz Wos,

    Thanks for your question.

I would recommend you create a support request with Microsoft. I can guide you on how you will reach them.

This may or may not result in a refund based on their assessment, but you can try. Do note that billing requests are free

I will guide you on how to create a billing ticket below:

    1. Go to the support page and click Create a support request. Like in the screenshot

    https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_Support/HelpAndSupportBlade/~/overview

    Pasted Graphic 1

    3. On the right hand pane you will see a describe your issue. It will initially attempt to help use the assistant to help resolve. Type billing in the box and select billing then click next this will bring your subscription which you select. It will load up some items, scroll down to the “help+support” part and click create create a support request

    Support + troubleshooting

    Support + troubleshooting

Clicking this will take you to the support page.

After filling the first page it will try to recommend solutions for you, which since you want a support request and need assistance, do not click any. Instead wait a bit.

Then you can describe your issue and get assistance

    See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/avoid-charges-free-account?source=recommendations

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you

    Regards,

    Abiola
