Pokémon Collaborates With Shonen Jump on August 4

Collaboration covers include One Piece's Luffy with Pikachu

Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that it will collaborate with the massively popular multimedia franchise Pokémon for the combined 36th and 37th issue, which ships on August 4. The Shonen Jump Editorial Team previewed the three Weekly Shonen Jump and Pokémon collaboration illustrations, which include One Piece's Luffy with Pokémon mascot Pikachu, Me & Roboco's Roboco with Mega Blaziken, and Blue Box's Chinatsu Kano with Totodile.

The official X/Twitter for the Pokémon franchise released images of Luffy with Pikachu, Roboco with Mega Blaziken, and Chinatsu Kano with Totodile. The illustrations are by original manga creators Eiichiro Oda, Shūhei Miyazaki, and Kōji Miura, respectively.

The Weekly Shonen Jump and Pokémon collaboration issue is set for release on August 4 for 330 yen (about US$2.22).
