I've not been able to find any information about inputting 5-digit codes for the supplementary planes. The Unicode Hex Input method works only with 4-digit codes. What is this all about?? To get a beta (U+03B2), I hold down the Option key and enter 03B2 and I get º£∫™. This is Mac OS X 10.4.11.
