A one to two player game (four player for versus mode), The Peace Keepers spans multiple endings (2 per each character) along with having multiple paths to take during the course of the game. There are 6six selectable characters in the game. You start off with 4, but during the course of the game you are given the chance to find the two hidden characters. The game is not exactly presented in 2D form like its prequels, but instead presented in ¾ view and plays out like any other brawler or beat em up would. However there is more freedom of the Y Axis with this presentation in game play style. You run through a slew of enemies, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. You have the choice to choose where you will go in the game, with the option of multiple path ways, and the outcome of the ending depending on what you did while you took those paths. The gamecontrols hasare the standard punch, andspecial jump buttons. Along with aattack, taunt button, special move buttonjump and a block button. Using taunt followed by your special move button allows for a super move to be used. You only get 2 super moves per life and have 12 continues to use through out the whole game. You can get up close to an enemy and then grab them. At this point you can hit them a few times, or you can throw them. After you defeat the horde of enemies that came your way, you soon enough reach a boss who has a pattern that you will learn and then use it to defeat them. The bosses you face and when you facemeet them depend on the paths you take through out the game and on the paths you take through out the game.
