Paris and its suburbs is among the areas hosting the most skyscrapers in Europe[1]: as of 2006 there are twelve skyscrapers with roof height above 150 meters (492 feet) and two more under construction (compared to 9 such skyscrapers in London, 9 in Frankfurt, 6 in Moscow, and 6 in Istanbul). Most of Paris high-rise buildings are located in three distinct areas: La Défense, the 13th arrondissement, and the Front de Seine (in the 15th arrondissement).
Most of the buildings of the Front de Seine, which is in close proximity to the Eiffel Tower, were built in the 1970s and 1980s and are of mixed commercial and residential use. |} -->

Future structures
This is a list of structures that are either under construction or due to start construction soon. A minimum of 6 other skyscrapers from 200 m (650 ft) to more than 400 m (1,300 ft) have been announced in La Défense and are due to be completed by 2015 at the latest, but their specifications are not known yet. Another 200 m tower designed by Jean Nouvel which is not part of that scheme has also been proposed nearby La Défense.
Very recently, two additional towers of 180 m have been announced in the Val de Seine business district located in Issy-les-Moulineaux, and two others of 160 m have been proposed in Neuilly-sur-Seine. Structures are sorted by planned height.
