Biography

Solo Career

After Bone Thugs-N-Harmony released The Art of War in 1997, Krayzie began preparing for his solo debut, Thug Mentality 1999 in 1998. The album was released as a double disc set, featuring a large selection of guest appearances, including Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, the Marley Bros., Mariah Carey, Big Pun, Fat Joe, E-40, 8Ball and MJG, and Snoop Dogg. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA.

In 2001, Krayzie released Thug On Da Line. The album didn't do as well as his previous release, and was criticized for its frequent guest appearances from fellow Thugline members by a few hardcore fans. The album received plenty of positive reveiws from music critics. Amazon.com went as far as labeling it one of the best albums of 2001.[1]

Since 2003, Krayzie has released more underground and internet released-only albums. His latest, 2005's Gemini: Good Vs. Evil received little promotion, but still sold about 50,000-60,000 units.[citation needed]

In 2006, Krayzie returned to the mainstream by appearing on The Notorious B.I.G.'s single "Spit Your Game", Chamillionaire's "Ridin'", and on a remix of Mariah Carey's single "Don't Forget About Us" with Juelz Santana. Krayzie Bone has collaborated on tracks with late rappers Eazy-E, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G, and Big Pun while they were all still living.

Record labels

Krayzie Bone was a founding member of Mo Thugs Family, a collective of Cleveland based rap and R&B musical acts. He broke apart from the group in 1998 to form Thugline Records.
