Khanabad sanatorium

Khanabad Sanatorium — A health resort located in the city of Khanabad, Andijan Region, Uzbekistan. The construction of the facility was initiated after President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to the region on 2–3 June 2017. It was built by UzAuto Motors and officially opened on 11 June 2018.[1]. GM Uzbekistan has ensured all the necessary resources for building a modern medical and wellness complex[2].

Project

The resort is situated 850 meters above sea level. The sanatorium was designed for 174 people at a time, with an annual capacity of 6,480 visitors. The total cost of the project was 70 billion UZS. It was created to provide healthcare services, promote wellness, and support the development of medical tourism and ecotourism in the region[3].It specializes in the treatment of respiratory diseases, nervous system disorders, and musculoskeletal problems.

Facilities

The sanatorium covers 10.5 hectares of parkland, with buildings surrounded by trees such as elms, oaks, walnuts, and spruces. It offers different types of rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a conference hall, sports grounds, and a parking area[4].

Treatment

Patients are treated for respiratory, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, and nervous system conditions. Therapies include mineral baths, electrophoresis, paraffin therapy, hydro massage, acupuncture, as well as dentistry, beauty care, phytotherapy, and laboratory tests[5].

International recognition

In April 2022, the sanatorium was presented at the Tashkent International Healthcare Exhibition (TIHE 2022)[6].
