Be sure to add your absolute path in the file, rather than $USER.
There is also a Python script in that how-to which will do all of that

First we want to make sure that your .dodsrc file is properly generated and stored; that file is what a few older OPeNDAP tools use for referencing authentication files. Please follow the dodsrc steps in this how-to: https://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/information/howto?keywords=prerequisite&title=How%20...

Re: Clarification on negative values in OMSO2e v003 SO2 column data

Small negative values are sometimes returned by the retrieval algorithm. Although negative concentrations are not real, one should not discard these values when taking an average over several days, or a larger region, as they tend to average out. Excluding them would bias your average high.

We have limitations on our servers to minimize impacts when lots of traffic is coming through. We suggest you look into using our Data Rods service for GLDAS_NOAH025_3H v2.1. This may get you a longer time period of the data you need. Data Rods can supply a time series of nearly 200,000 values witho...

Re: Problems in downloading netcdf4 zip files using opendap

The compression for on-prem Tropomi Hyrax server was recently switched off to avoid server timeouts and errors when downloading variables with large dynamic size floating-point arrays. We are preparing to port this collection to our cloud OPeNDAP soon. Once there, compression will be enabled since t...
