Hi,
Sorry for the delay with this. Because we are down to crunch time now with the transition things are a little backed up. They are going well other then that, however. Everything should be back to normal within the next couple days. Thanks for your patience.

Re: Obtaining Satellite Image Observation Viewing Angle and Albedo Conversion
Hello, The viewing angles for the EMITL2A are contained in the corresponding EMIL1BRAD product and they are contained in the Observation layer within the L1BRAD. Please see the different layers and the index for the Observation layer on the L1BRAD product page: https://doi.org/10.5067/EMIT/EMITL1BRA...

Re: Difference in Data Availability Timing between MODIS and VIIRS Products (MOD09A1/MYD09A1 vs VNP09A1/VJ109A1)
Hi Savee, Sorry for the delay with the VIIRS processing and availability. Actually, there is no inherent difference in the acquiring, processing or ingesting of MODIS and VIIRS that would make a delay for one over the other. There are many times when MODIS is the tardy one. Infact as time goes by, I...

Re: Clarification on “Clear_sky_days” Variable in MOD11A2 Product
Hi xiangliu, Actually, what this is referring to is clear sky observations. There can be several observations that intersect with a pixel footprint per day. Up to 1 time per day near the equator and 15 times per day at the poles. So, over an 8-day period it could really add up, but only passes deeme...

Re: Ecostress - using LST data to search for cold air pools
Both orders are now complete. I believe the ECO_L2_LSTE will be more like the previous V001 option. As it does not mask out clouds, it contains the cloud information but it is a seperate layer and can be used at your discretion. However, the ECO_L2G_LSTE masks out the clouds and give the pixels a Na...

Re: Ecostress - using LST data to search for cold air pools
Hi, We have several Ecostress V002 LST products available through AppEEARS, however I am not aware of a direst download into QGIS from AppEEARS. AppEEARS will output any of the following as a Geo rectified Geotiff: https://doi.org/10.5067/ECOSTRESS/ECO_L2T_LSTE.002 https://doi.org/10.5067/ECOSTRESS/...

Re: MOD35 cloud mask vs MOD09GA cloud state
Hi Victor, Yes, that is all correct. One thing you might want to be careful about is using the MOD09 products for reflectance over water. That is not recommended, the atmospheric correction and surface reflectance retrieval algorithms are no ideal for water bodies due to the inherently low level of ...

Re: MCD12Q2 v061 for 2024?
Hello, Unfortunately, this data product takes well into the next year for the processing to complete for the previous year. Past history indicates that it will be mid-summer too early fall for the MCD12Q2 to become available. Our Data Pool site shows the yearly folders and the ingest date of each ye...
