Re: How to get the Rayleigh diffuse transmittance Only
Hi Ge, The Rayleigh diffuse transmittance can be calculated in a straight forward way: t_sol = exp(-0.5 * taur/ csolz*(pr / p0 - 1)) t_sen= exp(-0.5 * taur/ csenz*(pr / p0 - 1)) taur is the Rayleigh optical depth that needs to be adjusted for the surface pressure pr relative to the standard pressure...

Re: rayleigh radiance computing problem
Hi, the Rayleigh table coefficients i_ray have the dimensions of wave mean square slope *sigma* and not *windspeed*. Before the interpolation convert windspeed to sigma using sigma = sqrt(0.00534*WS).

doubt about diffuse transmittance equation-reg
The diffused transmittance equation is an approximation and slightly empirical. The diffused transmittance should be calculated using a fully coupled radiative transfer simulations. However, for operational retrieval purposes, approximations are made for example (https://doi.org/10.1364/AO.18.003587...

Aerosol LUTs
Hi Yongzhen, since this is an old post, I am not sure if you were able to resolve your issue. If not, I can work with you on doing that. The spectral extinction coefficient would let you derive the spectral aot (i.e. you scale it for a given aot or concentration of aerosols) for each aerosol model. ...
