What is the name of data set/product for North America weather

Hello NASA EARTHDATA Forum Members,
I am a new member of this great forum. I am looking for data related to weather in North America. In particular, I am interested in understanding the effect of recent climate change in agriculture production. Any information will be very much appreciated.

Hello, the NASA GES DISC has a couple of resources that may be useful for your interests. For weather specifically, the MERRA-2 dataset is a meteorological reanalysis dataset with hundreds of variables, some of which are generally recognizable (like rainfall and windspeed) and others which are more technically meteorological. For agricultural interests, the hydrological datasets called the Land Data Assimilation Systems (LDAS) provide many variables that would be of interest for climate change. The North American Land Data Assimilation System (NLDAS) has higher resolution for just North America than the Global LDAS (GLDAS).

To explore the data, we recommend our Giovanni data system, https://giovanni.gsfc.nasa.gov/, which provides a relatively simple way to create various visualizations of user-selected data variables. Both MERRA-2 and LDAS data are available in Giovanni.
