How to download a large number of MODIS L2 Ocean Color data files to a PC

I have a question on how to download a large number (~1000) of MODIS L2 Ocean Color files to a PC. The website suggested using cygwin. I downloaded cygwin but did not know how to use it. For some strange reasons, no folders/files showed up when I run cygwin and used "ls".

So if I had difficulty using the script, is there any easy methods to use to download those files? For example, using ftp? Thanks!
