Dear Support,
I installed the latest V2025.1
In $OCSSWROOT/share/viirs/npp/instrument_defaults.par, the current setting:
...
rsb_dynamic_lut_file=$OCVARROOT/viirsn/cal/OPER/VIIRS_NPP_CAL_RSB_DYNAMIC_LUT_20111122_20240107_v3.1.0.25_20230901_obpg.nc
...
However, that file was not downloaded by installation, calibrate_viirs command failed. Instead, there is a updated version:
rsb_dynamic_lut_file=$OCVARROOT/viirsn/cal/OPER/VIIRS_NPP_CAL_RSB_DYNAMIC_LUT_20111122_20250428_v3.1.0.39_20241218_obpg.nc
My question is: do I need to edit the instrument_defaults.par? or download the v3.1.0.25 lut file?
Best,
Yuyuan

Re: OCSSW V2025.1 -- viirs/npp/instrument_defaults.par
Until the file is updated to include the most recent LUTs, yes, the simplest solution is to manually update the instrument_defaults.par file to point at the LUTs in $OCVARROOT/viirsn/cal/OPER
