Issue for the data from Harp2 and Spexone

by yzhen2024 » Wed Mar 12, 2025 5:26 pm America/New_York

I downloaded the granules from Harp2 and Spexone on January 29th, 2025 and they worked well. Today March 12,2025, I downloaded the exactly same granules and I got error message which is said that "Reshaping pixels at index 0 from (395, 29) to [395, 0]. Went from 11455 pixels to 0.
Reshaping pixels at index 1 from (395, 519) to [395, 0]. Went from 205005 pixels to 0.
Pixels match up between data indexes 0 and 1.
Mapping pixels at data indexes 0 and 2.
Reshaping pixels at index 2 from (395, 519) to [395, 0]. Went from 205005 pixels to 0.". This error doesn't just occur to these two granules and this happened to all granules from Harp2 and Spexone I downloaded today and yesterday. Could anyone help me please with this issue? Thank you so much.

Thank you for checking PACE data. May I know where your error message comes from? I download one granule from Jan 29 (20250129T01295) and March 12 (20250312T001748), respectively, and it seems the files are complete with correct spatial dimensions. If you can share the timestamp for the granule you are working on, we can look further into it.

Thank you so much for your reply. Could you please check the granules of PACE_HARP2.20240319T180530.L1C.V2.5km.nc and PACE_HARP2.20240607T184245.L1C.V2.5km.nc because using these datafiles, the reshape of the pixels all went to 0 (zero)? May I ask if version 2 datafiles can match to version 3? Thank you so much for your help.

May I know how reshape is used here and also in your previous message? Could you confirm whether you have issue to open a HARP2 L1C granules or there is an issue in your data processing script? Please note that HARP2 data is still in version 2, and version 3 is not released yet. Thanks. Meng

Dear Dr. Gao, Using reshape is to flatten the datasets. I can open all HARP2 granules I downloaded. The error occurred in the data processing script for some datafiles. Thank you so much for your help.

I see, thanks. If you can post the code snippet, we may can help to understand what happened. You can also refer to the PACE HelpHub tutorial regarding HARP2 data visualizations. https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/resources/docs/tutorials/
