Announcement: Additional MERRA-2 data collections added to Earthdata Cloud OPeNDAP

The Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC) is pleased to announce the successful transition of OPeNDAP services for an additional 53 MERRA-2 collections from on-premises infrastructure to the Earthdata Cloud.

This cloud-based implementation offers enhanced performance and reliability, particularly when downloading large volumes of data or accessing many data files simultaneously. We hope this improvement will support your research and data access needs more effectively.

The GES DISC will continue to offer the current on-premises OPeNDAP service until data and services are fully transitioned to the Earthdata Cloud environment.
