Does EVLAND refer to transpiration or evapotranspiration?

In the product MERRA-2 tavg1_2d_lnd_Nx: 2d, 1-Hourly, Time-Averaged, Single-Level, Assimilation, Land Surface Diagnostics V5.12.4 (M2T1NXLND), evaporation land (EVLAND) seems to refer to evapotranspiration rather than evaporation in the explanatory documentation. I would like to know whether it is evapotranspiration or evaporation.

Hi, thanks for your interest in MERRA-2 data. EVLAND refers to the total evapotranspiration from (non-glaciated) land, including transpiration, bare soil evaporation, evaporation of water on the vegetation (from canopy rainfall interception), and sublimation from the snowpack.
Apologies for the lack of clarity in the MERRA-2 documentation. The "LONG_NAME" attribute for EVLAND has already been changed to "total evapotranspiration land" in the system used to generate future GEOS reanalysis products.
