Download Issues for MODIS Chlorophyll-a, SST, and SeaDAS Software – Downloads Restart on Interruption

I’ve been trying to download several monthly MODIS mapped datasets (chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature), as well as the SeaDAS software package. The problem I’m facing is that downloads frequently stop halfway due to “network issues” and then restart from the beginning, which wastes bandwidth and time.

I’ve confirmed that my internet connection is stable and has no dropouts during other large downloads. However, the issue keeps occurring specifically with downloads from oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov.

I’ve also encountered the same issue when trying to download the SeaDAS installer from the official website. After reaching ~50–80%, the download fails and restarts.

Hello, I think OB.DAAC will be able to help you as SeaDAS is their software. Please tag OB.DAAC instead of PO.DAAC for your question.
