Question about geophysical corrections in GEDI Level2A dataset

by john6444 » Thu Sep 11, 2025 11:13 pm America/New_York

Dear Sir or Madam,

The Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document (website: https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/catalog/lpcloud-gedi01-b-002#documents-and-resources) has indicated that "elevation_bin0" and "elevation_lastbin" of Level1B dataset have been processed with geophysical corrections (i.e., solid earth tide, ocean loading, solid earth pole tide, and ocean pole tide).

I have a question to ask: are these geophysical corrections have been applied for any parameter in GEDI Level2A dataset? More specifically, have "elev_lowestmodel_aN" parameter of Level2A dataset been undergone geophysical corrections? If not, is there any solution to make geophysical corrections for Level2A dataset?

Thanks for your time.

Cheers,
Jw
