The Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) has release data for the Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem Postlaunch Airborne eXperiment (PACE-PAX). PACE-PAX is a NASA field campaign that was conducted in September 2024 to gather data for the validation and refinement of data products generated by the PACE satellite mission. PACE-PAX obtained measurements over central and southern California and nearby coastal regions. Two aircraft were flown to obtain measurements for the campaign: the NASA ER-2 high-altitude aircraft, and the CIPRAS Twin Otter aircraft (in situ sampling). Using a robust suite of in situ and remote sensing instruments as well as ground-based observations, PACE-PAX validated and refined PACE data products and identified any potential errors of biases in the measurements, which is essential for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of PACE data products.
