TEMPO V04 Standard and Near Real-Time V02 Level 1, 2, and 3 Product Release

TEMPO Version 04 (V04) and Near Real-Time Version 02 (V02) Level 1, 2, and 3 data are now available from the NASA Langley Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) via NASA Earthdata Search. This data release includes new L2 and L3 ozone profile beta products, as well as TEMPO NRT L1B radiance and L2 /L3 clouds, nitrogen dioxide, and formaldehyde data products. Please note that TEMPO HCHO NRT V02 data will be available starting September 18, 2025, and TEMPO radiance twilight V04 data will be available later this year. A full list of data products in this product release is provided below.

TEMPO V04 data are available starting from September 17, 2025. TEMPO V03 data (from August 2, 2023 to September 16, 2025) are being reprocessed with V04 algorithms, with V04 products becoming publicly available as they are reprocessed. The V03 data will remain available through Earthdata Search until the TEMPO Science Team completes the reprocessing.

The TEMPO STD V04 and NRT data will have comparable services to the current services available with the V03 data, with a staggered release schedule as noted below.

TEMPO STD V04 and NRT V02 Tools and Services by Data Level

1 O3PROF L3 subsetting is not available at this time, but is expected to be ready later this year.
2 Worldview imagery is planned to be released in September 2025, with the exception of O3PROF L2, which is expected later this year.
3 ArcGIS image services (TEMPO Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) Tropospheric Vertical Column, Formaldehyde (HCHO) Vertical Column, Total Column Ozone) will be released on September 18, 2025, to NASA’s Earthdata GIS portal, and Esri’s Living Atlas of the World shortly afterward.
4 TEMPO V04 data (except O3PROF) are expected to be available in RSIG in September 2025. O3PROF and NRT are expected to be ready later this year.
