Hello everyone,I'm working with MODIS data and have two questions:
Is MCD12Q1 nighttime data required, or are daytime/twilight data sufficient for land cover classification?
How can I download only the NDVI and EVI layers from the MOD13Q1 series without downloading the full product?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

The MCD12Q1 uses the daytime acquisitions, TERRA clloects ~10:30AM Local Time and AQUA ~1:30PM Local Time. Please take a look atour AppEEARS tool, it will help you with processing the MOD13Q1: https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/tools/appeears
It can spatially, temporally and spectrally subset along with many functions. Please let me know if you have any questions.
