calculate wind direction

Hello everyone,

Recently,I have downloaded Aqua L2 products using SeaDAS l2gen.The product 'windangle' can output.I use 'zonal wind' and 'meridional wind' products from the L2 products to calculate wind direction according to the following fomula:
wind direction = arctan(zonal wind/meridional wind)
But the wind direction is not equal to the standard product 'windangle'. So I'm not sure my calculation is true or not.

Try arctan2(zonal wind, meridional wind)
