Issues installing OCSSW

Users with Windows 7 operating system are having issues installing OCSSW. Kindly find below screenshot of the error they get.

We would appreciate if you can let us what can be done to successfully install OCSSW.

The documentation on the Downloads page has a section describing the installation of the data processing component (i.e. OCSSW) under
SeaDAS Processing Programs and Source Code
That section points to the description of the client/server implementation, which is required for using OCSSW on Windows clients.

The OCSSW component is NOT required for the GUI to work, or to successfully install SeaDAS, unless the user desires to do local data processing.

Hi,
I installed SeaDAS in my HP laptop that has Windows 7 Home Premium with 64-bit operating.
I try to open SeaDAS but it never opens.
I don't get any error messages.

Any ideas are welcome.

Your post is under a topic about the OCSSW processing system, so may hard for others to find.  It has been a while since I used SeaDAS 7 on Windows, but as I recall, there are a couple .log files (search for std*.log) which may provide hints.  There may also be a seadas-d.bat script in the same directory as the .log files.  This script starts a debugging configuration of SeaDAS and should be run in a terminal/console so you can view the output.   The SeaDAS GUI is written in Java, which tends to create verbose error reports, so you may want to show the .log files to a friendly local Java guru or attach them to a new post with a topic like "SeaDAS 7.5.1 fails to start after installation on Windows 7".

Lack of memory or disk space is a common reason for SeaDAS failures to start on older "low-end" systems, so it may help if you mention the amount of system memory and free disk space in your new post.
