Error: Transformation doesn't convergence. - gpt.sh reproject processing error - JPSS1

Hello,

I'm getting the above error when I try to reproject JPSS1 passes. I removed SST from the reprojection XML as I saw in another post that JPSS1 SST processing won't be supported (is it possible to shed some light as to why?).

My goal is to be able to reproject/mosaic CHL from this dataset, but every time I reproject I get "Transformation doesn't convergence". Any ideas as to what this error means?

Thanks!
James

You need to provide a minimal example preferably using data files that are readily available), as well as details of your Java runtime and OS, so others can reproduce the issue.  Does the error occur using another sensor (e.g., Aqua) or using the SeaDAS GUI?

GPT was developed by ESA, so you might want to try the most recent version of gpt.sh which you get by installing ESA SNAP.  There was a test release of the NASA data readers for ESA SNAP, but as I recall, it didn't get along with ESA's current gpt.sh.   The next version of SeaDAS will be based on SNAP, so it is useful to know if the error occurs using the most recent version.   The ESA forums are quite helpful and, we SeaDAS users would prefer NASA focus on issues with the OCSSW processing system.  Chances are better that SeaDAS 8 won't havef the problem if it can be sorted out by ESA.
