No recent TOAST.OZONE ancillary files?
There do not appear to be any new TOAST.OZONE ancillaries since S20201480014823_TOAST.OZONE posted at 12:55 on 2020-05-28. When might we expect to see newer TOAST.OZONE ancillary files?

Also, there do not appear to be any SEAICE_NSIDC_24h.hdf ancillary files since the N202014900_SEAICE_NSIDC_24h.hdf file uploaded 2020-05-29 19:34.

NSIDC allowed their certificates to lapse. Once they get their server functioning, we will resume data production.

Roger, thanks for the info. Have you already contacted them and have any idea when they might update their certificates on whichever data server you are retrieving from? They musts have someone manning the store as it appears they've at least updated the certificate on their main website at nsidc.org recently, so hopefully they are responsive and will be able to address the issue soon.

There were two concurrent problems:
The expired certificates were the cause of the NSIDC sea ice data outage. They corrected that this morning.
The TOAST situation is not as simple.
The data provider has recently been unable to generate the TOAST grib product due to unavailability of SBUV retrievals in the Southern Hemisphere.
They also informed us of the following:
"I would like to give everyone heads up that we are planning to stop making TOAST blended products from SBUV/2 N19 and HIRS DATA and ETOAST products
from SBUV/2 and CrIS data because due to SBUV/2 satellite shift we do not have good global coverage on Southern Hemisphere anymore. Also we have now
better NTOAST Blended products from NPP OMPS and NPP CrIS data.
We are looking into making arrangements for us to receive the referenced NTOAST Blended products. We don't have a firm schedule yet on either the retirement or the availability of the replacement product."
When NTOAST data are available, we will redistribute them. Until then we will have to deal with sporadic outages.

I have been informed that the plan to switch MetOp-A into TOAST to replace SBUV was unsuccessful. They are terminating production of TOAST If you have version of SeaDAS that looks for TOAST ancillary data, it is time to upgrade.

Once available, will the redistributed NTOAST products have the same format and file naming convention as the discontinued TOAST.OZONE ancillaries, and do you have any estimate of how soon they might be available?

Upon further review, we will not be acquiring and processing the NTOAST as we haven't used TOAST products operationally for many years. You should prepare to use the OZONER2 data e.g:

Note that we will soon be using the ozone field from the GMAO FP operationally:(link=)oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/Ancillary/Meteorological/2020/154/N202015400_GMAOFP_3h.nc

Hi,The latest available OZONER2 data is now 6 days old.
(link=)oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/ob/getfile/N202017200_O3_AURAOMI_24h.hdfIs this just a temporary problem or are these products also discontinued? Best Regards,
Mikko
