OLCI Data Download

Hello,
I have been downloading OLCI L1 data using the Ocean Color Web.
from 'select one or more region' I choose The Chesapeake Bay, select swaths and download data. I downloaded all available swaths for 2021 for this region. I find that occasionally some images are not in the Bay region but are centered around the Great Lakes! I am not entering any lat-lon boxes -- I just choose pre-defined region from the selection. Any explanation you can provide would be appreciated.

Without an example, I can't say. Do you have a specific file or at least a time period for a search that resulted in an erroneous spatial retrieval?

Here is an example of OLCI image I got even though the area I picked was Chesapeake Bay.

This is a case of a 'near miss'. The resolution of the bins used in the spatial matching is about 72km.

The edge of this scene gets tantalizingly close to the Bay:
