I believe the Mosaic may internally use GPT, so you might also compare the files: [SEADAS_HOME]/bin/gpt.vmoptions with [SNAP_HOME]/bin/gpt.vmoptions

Perhaps change the line for virtual memory to:
-Xmx8192m

OBDAAC
Ocean
SeaDAS
