SeaDAS 7.4: could not install luts

Hello.  Trying to install processors for SeaDAS 7.4.  It hums along then fails on loading luts (for both Aqua and VIIRS).  The error message sequence is:
==
Error! could not establish a network connection.  Check your network connection.
If you do not find a problem, please try again later.
Error: Could not install luts for viirsn (or aqua)
==

The network connection is fine, so I am wondering if there is something unavailable on the server side.

Thanks!

John

SeaDAS 7.4: could not install luts

Updating the LUT's is the last step in the installation.  At my site the update LUT's steps often fail, but running update_luts.py from the command line generally works (but may take a couple attempts).  To use the command line script you will need to add the lines to your ~/.bashrc per the installation instructions.  From the command line you can set the --timeout option.  The default timeout is 10 -- try doubling the value (20, 40, ...) until updates work reliably.

Note: there was (temporarily) a mismatch between the git repository and the VIIRS VIIRS_NPP_CAL_RSB_DYNAMIC_LUT_v2.0.0.2c_obpg.nc that you get with the current updates, see Topic 6678.   If your $OCSSWROOT/run/data/viirsn/instrument_defaults.par refers to an older LUT version, you should be able to get the new "2.0.0.2c" version by running git pul in the $OCSSWROOT/run/data/viirsn/
