I am having issues with anc files today. This is only one example. I attached the versbose version of the curl command return.

[bmurch@optics0 bin]$ rm /shares/cms_optics/apps/seadas/seadas-7.5.3/ocssw/share/common/anc_cor_file_28jan2014.nc
[bmurch@optics0 bin]$ curl -b .urs_cookies_single -c .urs_cookies_single -L -n --retry 5  --retry-delay 2 --max-time 0 --output /shares/cms_optics/apps/seadas/seadas-7.5.3/ocssw/share/common/anc_cor_file_28jan2014.nc https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/getfile/anc_cor_file_28jan2014.nc

This:
cat anc_cor_file_28jan2014.nc
<!DOCTYPE html><html lang="en-US"><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8"><meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOARCHIVE"><title>ERROR @ OceanColor Biology Processing Group (OBPG)</title></head><body link=#323232 vlink=#323232 alink=#323232 style="background-color:#ffffff; color:#323232; font-size:175%"><br><hr color=#323232><center><h1><b>.:. ERROR .:.</b></h1><h2>OceanColor Biology Processing Group (OBPG)</h2><blockquote>Sorry, an error has occurred. Use the back button to return to the previous page or go to the <a href="https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov">Ocean Color Home Page</a>.</blockquote><br><hr color= #323232></body></html>

I got the file again from another installation and am continuing with that one.

Perhaps it was corrupted somehow as it really isn't an anc file, and one can't d/l it with the getfile routine?

I also get html:

.:. ERROR .:.
OceanColor Biology Processing Group (OBPG)
    Sorry, an error has occurred.
Use the back button to return to the previous page or go to the Ocean Color Home Page.

anc_cor_file_28jan2014.nc does not exist on our system. Is this name being requested by SeaDAS?

Tommy,

I think its because it was a core seadas file that I had corrupted somehow (error message) so I tried to d/l it this way.

seadas-7.5.3/ocssw/share/common/anc_cor_file_28jan2014.nc

It failed. I got it from another install.
