We were
recently alerted to an apparent issue with the ozone ancillary data used in ocean color data processing. The issue is anomalously high ozone concentrations in the region between about 30S and 50S corresponding to the AURA-OMI ground track:

This issue seems to have started on 18 May 2021. We are in contact with the OMI team and they are investigating. Once we have a resolution to this issue, we will reprocess the affected data. Until then caution should be exercised when using these data.
Regards,
Sean

Hi Sean,
is this issue still on-going?
Thank You in advance. Philippe

It is. There was an indication from the OMI/TOMS team that it was resolved about a month ago, but in our testing we identified a residual effect of the underlying cause. The bulk of the problem was corrected, but we are still waiting on the OMI/TOMS team to provide a fix for this secondary issue. ...hopefully soon...

Hi Sean,
last refined MODIS are from July-1,
is it linked to the availability of the fix or something else?
Regards, Philippe
