Could someone explain how the 9km L3 oceancolor netcdf (e.g., chlorophyll, sst) are produced when the full resolution are 4km? Are both resolutions produced in parallel using the different-sized bin grid or is the 9km version a downsample of the 4km?

For example:
https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/getfile/A20220322022059.L3m_MO_CHL_chlor_a_4km.nc
vs
https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/getfile/A20220322022059.L3m_MO_CHL_chlor_a_9km.nc
