How to get sea salt aerosol fraction from MODIS AOD data? Could you suggest me some references?

Hello. I am not sure about MODIS AOD, but the Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications Version 2 (MERRA-2) has several sea salt variables that may be useful. I am providing the search link in Giovanni, but the datasets and variables can also be acquired directly from the GES DISC.

You could generate maps and time-series of both MODIS AOD and the MERRA-2 sea salt variables in Giovanni, if that would assist your research.
