Earthdata Login fails

My Earthdata Login no longer is recognized and I cannot download my data.
How do I fix this?

Your password may have expired.
Click the link for "I forgot my password" and a reset email will be sent to your email address. This will allow you to create a new one. You will be unable to log in or perform any authorizations until a new password has been chosen.
