plans to put SPL3SMP_E on cloud?

by almcnall » Mon Jun 10, 2024 6:00 pm America/New_York

Hello,
Are there any plans to move SMAP L3 soil moisture (SPL3SMP_E) to the Earthdata Cloud? If so, when might that be available? The 36KM (SPL3SMP) could also be of interest if that is farther along in the queue.

thank you!
Amy

Hi Amy,

Yes! Both of these data sets will be available on the cloud.

No specific date is set for their cloud availability, but the expectation is for it to happen in the next few months. If you have subscribed to updates for this data set (see the "subscribe" button on the data set's landing page: https://nsidc.org/data/spl3smp_e/versions/6), you'll receive an email about its status.

Cheers,
Diane
