How can I obtain the final coordinates and velocities of SLR stations in the ITRF2008 reference frame?

The final coordinates and velocities for the ITRFs are located under https://cddis.nasa.gov/archive/slr/products/REPRO_SERIES/. The ITRF2008 reference frames are under the subdirectory ITRF2008. However, you may want to use the most recent version available under subdirectory ITRF2020.

If you're looking to download the files, you'll need to have an Earthdata login account. Examples of how to download the files are here: https://cddis.nasa.gov/Data_and_Derived_Products/CDDIS_Archive_Access.html

I hope this helps!

Hi jwoo1,

Thank you so much for providing this information and the links. They were beneficial!

I managed to find the file I needed, SLRF2005_POS+VEL.snx, in the link you shared:

https://cddis.nasa.gov/archive/slr/products/REPRO_SERIES/REPRO2008/resource/ITRF2008/

However, despite its ___location, the file appears to be based on the ITRF2005 reference frame rather than ITRF2008, as suggested by both its name and the information inside it.

Could you please confirm if this is correct? If so, I understand there is a way to transfer from ITRF2005 to ITRF2008, but I wanted to check if the coordinates and velocities are directly available in ITRF2008 as well.

Thanks again for your assistance.

Best regards,
Ruby

Dear Ruby,

Thank you for pointing this out. I'll have to look into our archive for completeness. In the meantime, you can also download the ITRF2008 from this ___location: https://itrf.ign.fr/en/solutions/itrf2008. Sorry for the trouble.
