Questions about resolution of SatCORPS geostationary product.

We notice that the SatCORPS geostationary products are generated as instantaneous data at hourly intervals, whereas the original temporal resolution of geostationary satellites is higher. Why do you choose the hourly interval? Is there any access to data with a higher temporal resolution?

Hello,
Thank you for your interest in SatCORPS.
We have contacted someone from the SatCORPS group and they stated that the CERES project required hourly GEO products to augment the sun-synchronous LEO product and capture the diurnal cycle. The software version is fixed for the life of the satellite with the CERES GEO dataset.
The SatCORPS group does have higher temporal resolution data (1/2 hourly) that is run in real-time and the version is continually improving and updated for forward processing. Additional information can be found here:
