I use MODIS daily SCF (DOI:10.5067/MODIS/MOD10A1.061 and DOI:10.5067/MODIS/MYD10A1.061) for snow cover assimilation. A change in compilers is removing support for fortran to HDF4 interfacing.

So, my question: I see that EARTHDATA provides reformatting support upon download for MODIS Aqua and Terra SCF for HDF4 to GeoTIFF. On the off chance that I missed something, is there such support for HDF4 to NetCDF4?

Thank you for reaching out for assistance with MODIS daily SCF products. The NSIDC does not have a tool or instructions for converting HDF to NetCDF.
