Missing data in MODIS/Terra+Aqua AOD and Water Vapor from MAIAC, Daily L3 Global 0.05Deg CMG V061

Data are consistently missing for some swaths (regions) in the MODIS level 3 AOD product (MODIS/Terra+Aqua AOD and Water Vapor from MAIAC, Daily L3 Global 0.05Deg CMG V061). For example, the region south of Greenland/Iceland. Why is this?

Hello,
We (the GES DISC) are not the DAAC that archives MODIS aerosol data, though we do provide it in Giovanni. Can you provide an image of what you are describing to allow a better understanding of the issue?

Hello,
Could you give us more specifics on the area that is missing data. If it is over deep ocean, that is expected. Please see page 6 of the User Guide for more information on this:

If it is over land can you give us a coordinate range?
