GRACE GFZ, JPL, CSR TWS difference from COST-G TWS

While making a regional analysis, I used GRACE/-FO Level-3 1 degree grid Tellus TWS data processed by GFZ, JPL and CSR analysis centers of GRACE satellite. In addition, I added COST-G TWS data to the analysis. As a result of the difference analysis I made, it is seen in the graph and the results that GFZ, JPL and CSR TWS data have more differences than COST-G TWS data between 2015-2016 compared to other years. It is also seen that these values are more stable in other years. I wonder what the reason for this is. I would be very happy if you could help.

Hi,
Dean here from PO.DAAC, where the GRACE data sets are hosted. This is more of a science/technical question, so unless a subject matter expert is able to answer here, you will likely need to do some digging.
For example, perhaps there is any easily identifiable outage in 2015-2016, or something in the production of COST-G TWS that the others don’t have. For GRACE-FO, our project page has links to frequently updated technical notes and other documentation:
https://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/GRACE-FO?tab=documentation§ions=about%2Bdata.
You can always reach out to the data producers as well: D. N. Wiese, D.-N. Yuan, C. Boening, F. W. Landerer, M. M. Watkins.
Thanks,
- Dean
