We are pleased to announce the release of SeaDAS 9.2.0.
Highlights of what’s new to SeaDAS 9.2.0:
- OB_CLOUD Data Browser: Search, preview and download OB.DAAC satellite data in the NASA Earthdata cloud; mission-aware filtering, spatial/temporal constraints, day/night selection, thumbnails and pagination.
- File/Sensor Support: Read SeaWiFS, OCTS, CZCS L1A (v3), HARP2 & SpexONE L2, PACE OCI L1B v3; image-flip and band-group controls in Preferences.
- Science Processor GUIs (L2bin, L3bin, L3mapgen): Auto-populate mission/suite defaults; added fields and preference options; custom naming schemes; save/load favorite settings.
- General Tools: Alpha-channel support for image exports; “Open File,” “Geometry Lines” and “Range Finder” toolbars visible by default; direct access to SeaDAS video tutorials via the SeaDAS menu.
- SNAP Core: Built on modified SNAP development code (SNAP 10).
- Mac Installers: Separate installers provided for Intel and Apple-Silicon (“M”-chip) Macs.
- Intel-Mac Deprecation: SeaDAS 9.2.0 is the last release that supports Intel-based macOS.
- Supports OCCSW release tag V2025.1.
- Manual GEO-filename entry required for some GUIs.
- 2–3 s delay when auto-filling L2bin/L3mapgen forms.
- Layer Editor may lag one click behind (re-click to update).
- OB_CLOUD Data Browser may slow down if the image web service is busy.
