PACE Rrs products in the NIR bands (720-895 nm)

Hi everyone!
I am working on PACE data. I see that the PACE-OCI L2 AOP products have the Rrs from ~346-719 nm. However, the OCI relative spectral responses (RSR) and the PACE mission website (https://pace.oceansciences.org/oci.htm) say that PACE has the spectra from 315 nm to 895 nm. I really need them to look at the red and NIR bands beyond 719 nm. How can I access the Rrs data from those bands? Is there a way I can manually process the L1 data to derive the Rrs for the NIR region of the spectra?
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Masud

Masud,

Unfortunately, the l2gen code has a hard limit of 720nm for Rrs output. It has to do with the way the atmospheric correction process works. We have been mulling over the possibility of expanding the output for PACE-OCI, since it does have bands longer than 720nm that are not used in the aerosol derivation. It is not trivial to make the change without breaking other things, though, so for now, it is limited to 720nm.

Now, in the interest of full disclosure, l2gen *can* output Rrs beyond 720nm (if explicitly asked, e.g. l2prod=Rrs_739), but it is not the "measured" Rrs, but rather a modeled value generated from the "NIR correction" (see Bailey, et al., 2010)

Hi Sean,
Thank you so much for the information.
I will reprocess with l2gen to get a few bands beyond 720nm.

Thanks,
Masud
