'''Saint Anne's Church''' is in San Damiano, a hamlet of Brugherio, in the Province of Monza and Brianza.{{Coord|45|34|3.37|N|9|18|17.09|E|display=title}}
Brugherio's devotional pilasters were erected, after the plague that struck Monza and the near territory in 1576 in the four points in which they were placed altars used to celebrate religious services. Information about this plaque could be found in the notes of the visits to the population done by the Bishop of Milan, Saint Charles Borromeo. During the spread of the plague, the faithful gathered in prayer around the altar outdoor places, to avoid contagion to which they were exposed indoors. At the end of the plague they dismantled the altars but it was decided to erect in these places devotinal pilasters, as an act of gratitude by survivors.

In the eighteenth century it was built the new church: a private chapel adjacent to the Villa Viganoni-Benavides, the summer residence of the family Parravicini in the nineteenth century and now demolished. They are placed in piazza Roma, next to the Church of Saint Bartholomew; in Viale Lombardia, not far away from the old cemetery; in Torazza and in San Damiano. At the top of all there is the symbol of the cross, supported by architectural details recognizable as spheres, cones, capitals, etc. In some cases the pilasters report also inscriptions, not always legible.

It is located next to the parish church. On the ball at the top it there is written: ''In Hoc Signo Vinces, the capital Deo Sacrum Christ Jesus'' and on the basis of the column Sicut Moses esaltavi Serpentem in Desert sic''.'' On the stone block which forms the pedestal: ''Spes omnium Salus Fidellium Branda Scottus fecit proud. Anno Nativitatis MDLXX Maj I''. The inscription of the year is likely incomplete because the column was built by Bernard Scotti in 1576.<ref name="Brugherio" /><ref>{{cite book |first= Manuela |last= Mancini |title= Brugherio: presente e passato |language= Italian|date= 1996 |publisher= Swan Edizioni|___location= Milano}}</ref> It is also known as ''Cross Scotti''.
La pianta della chiesa è caratterizzata da una [[navata]] principale, coperta da una [[volta a botte]], distaccata dal [[presbiterio]] tramite un [[arco (architettura)|arco]] a [[sesto ribassato]] decorato con motivi floreali, al centro del quale è raffigurato il monogramma di Gesù<ref name=":0" />. A sinistra, una navata amplia la pianta conducendo alla [[sagrestia]], spazio dedicato, in passato, al [[matroneo]] (dove si raccoglievano in preghiera le nobildonne) raggiungibile direttamente dalla villa. In seguito ad alcuni interventi di restauro all'interno della chiesa, sono state riportate in luce cinque nicchie ornate con decorazioni pittoriche "a fresco", raffiguranti finti marmi e fregi architettonici, che sembrano trasformarle in veri e propri [[altari]]<ref>{{Cita web|autore = |url = http://www.visitbrianza.it/index.phtml?Id_VMenu=470&daabstract=923|titolo = Brugherio - Chiesa di S. Due [[nicchie]], poste una di fronte all'altra, contengono le [[statua|statue]] lignee raffiguranti la [[Madonna col Bambino|Vergine con il bambino]] e [[San Giuseppe]]. Altre due nicchie sono ornate da una corona con uno scettro a destra, e le palme del martirio a sinistra, quindi erano dedicate ad altri santi e martiri. Ciascuna nicchia presenta al suo interno una [[volta (architettura)|volta]] celeste decorata da stelle dorate. Sono presenti inoltre i [[dipinto|dipinti]] raffiguranti la [[Via Crucis]] e due tele che rappresentano la ''[[Maria (madre di Gesù)|Madonna]]'', ''sant'Anna e [[san Gioacchino]]'' a destra e i ''santi [[Cosma e Damiano]]'' a sinistra. Located near the old cemetery (but prexisting to it) on viale Lombardia, it is characterized by a cone at the top. Also on it there is written the name of the manufacturer of Brugherio, Bernard Scotti, who had it built in 1578.
