Il 4 ottobre, per effetto del [[WWE Draft 2021|Draft]], Sheamus passò al roster di ''[[WWE SmackDown|SmackDown]]''. Nella puntata di ''SmackDown'' del 19 novembre vinse un [[Tipi di match di wrestling#Fatal four-way match|fatal 4-way match]] che comprendeva anche [[Cesaro (wrestler)|Cesaro]], [[Jinder Mahal]] e [[Ricochet (wrestler)|Ricochet]] per un posto nel Team SmackDown per ''[[Survivor Series 2021|Survivor Series]]'' grazie all'intervento di [[Ridge Holland]], che in seguito si alleò con lo stesso Sheamus. Il 21 novembre, a ''Survivor Series'', partecipò al tradizionale [[Tipi di match di wrestling#Survivor Series elimination match|5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match]] ma venne eliminato da [[Austin Theory]].
Nella puntata di ''SmackDown'' del 24 dicembre partecipò ad un [[Tipi di match di wrestling#Gauntlet match|gauntlet match]] per determinare lo sfidante all'[[WWE Intercontinental Championship|Intercontinental Championship]] di [[Shinsuke Nakamura]] ma, dopo aver eliminato Cesaro, [[Drew Gulak]] e [[Ivar (wrestler)|Ivar]], venne eliminato da Ricochet.
