::Perfettamente d'accordo, la fonte a sostegno dell straight edge dice ''In 1983 three of the four members were into the straight edge movement following Minor Threat's first single, but we were never a straight edge band, OK?''. É chiaro che, essendo lo straight edge uno stile di vita prima che un genere musicale, per essere definita straight edge una band deve: a) avere TUTTI i componenti che si dichiarano tali; b) avere testi anti-droga, alcool, ecc.
