== Devotional pilaster ==
During the spread of the plague, the faithful gathered in prayer around the altar outdoor places, to avoid contagion to which they were exposed indoors. At the end of the plague they dismantled the altars but it was decided to erect in these places devotinal pilasterpilasters, as an act of devotion and gratitude by survivors.
They are placeplaced in piazza Roma, next to the Church of Saint Bartholomew; in Viale Lombardia, not far away from the old cemetery; in Torazza and in San Damiano. At the top of all there is the symbol of the cross, supported by architectural details recognizable as spheres, cones, capitals, etc. In some cases the pilasters report also inscriptions, not always legible.

On the stone block which forms the pedestal: ''Spes omnium Salus Fidellium Branda Scottus fecit proud. Anno Nativitatis MDLXX Maj I''.
