Sam Mitchell
Samuel E. "Sam" Mitchell, Jr. [ˈsæmjuəl iː ˈmitʃəl ˈdʒuːnjə*] (Columbus, 2 settembre 1963) è un ex cestista statunitense, ed è l'attuale allenatore dei Toronto Raptors in NBA National Basketball Association.

Fino al 2004 è stato (per due stagioni) assistent coach dei Milwaukee Bucks, passato poi per una breve esperienza agli Charlotte Bobcats fino a quando è stato nominato come sesto coach della franchigia dei Toronto Raptors.
E' stato nominato come allenatore dell'anno nell' aprile per la stagione 2006/2007 avendo raggiunto un coefficiente superiore a .500 e la leadership dell' Atlantic Division in NBA.
Il 30 Marzo, 2007, Mitchell ha vinto la sua centesima partita nel campionato NBA quando i Raptors hanno battutto i Washington Wizards al Verizon Center.
